The Ministère des Forêts, de la Faune et des Parcs du Québec, partner of QNRIS, awarded a grant of $2.1 million to FPInnovations to promote the use of wood in the construction sector, an energy-efficient material with a low carbon footprint. This grant is part of the 2030 Quebec government’s plan for a green economy and will be used concretely to carry out tests and write new technical documents on using wood in the construction of new buildings that could be taken into account when drafting future editions of the national building code.
